The picture is the same in Italy. Many towns have many outlet shops, but only some of these offer enough volume to qualify as "outsets".
There are even cases in which the big chains "discontinue" a brand they own but still offer their own goods as "private label" so they can own a market niche.
In most cases, when a brand is discontinued, it is replaced by private label.
